2016 Subaru Crosstrek: Checked the brake pedal travel distance to activate the BLS and distance is 7/16″. This distance in MM is much greater than the specifications in the bulletin with a new switch. So from the factory it was set this way and now the distance required is about 1/4 Inch?

So Subaru won’t replace the faulty switch with the redesigned one for free?

No recall, just a redesigned brake light switch to eliminate certain DTC’s.

i just took my 2013 Subaru Impreza to be fixed because 3 lights came on (ABS, zigzag car, and car on incline). They said it was the result of feedback from the failing brake light, or at least that’s what I understood. I believe this is addressed in service bulletin 06-55-16R. Is there a recall on this? Should Subaru (love, love, love) be paying for the cost of this repair?
