INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DESCRIPTION: Ascent Illuminated Cargo Sill
STEP 1: Prepare for the Installation.
(a) Inspect all kit components and check for damage or missing parts.
(b) Remove the negative battery terminal.
CAUTION: Do not touch the positive terminal with any part of the tool when removing the cable.
STEP 2: Disassemble the Vehicle.
(a). Remove cargo floor panel from vehicle, as well as any contents in cargo area or other accessories that may be present (tonneau cover).
Step 3: Remove driver side courtesy lamp from cavity in LH side cargo panel. Remove connector from courtesy lamp.
Step 4: Using trim tool detach clips and remove OE cargo sill.
Step 5: Uncover and remove fastener located in D‐ring cavity in LH side cargo panel.
Step 6: Remove fastener located above the courtesy lamp on LH side cargo panel. Remove cover with trim tool to access the screw.
Step 7: Using the trim tool, disengage the clips securing the LH cargo panel to reveal courtesy lamp power connector.
Step 8: Lay illuminated Cargo Sill on cargo floor. Attach the female harness connector to vehicle power that was originally connected to the lamp.
Step 9: Wrap connector with foam tape.
Step 10: Reinsert the courtesy lamp into lamp cavity and attach the male connector.
Step 11: Secure the harness to the back side of the LH cargo panel using foam tape.
Step 12: Reattach LH cargo panel with (x2) attachment clips seated properly. Reinsert upper and lower fasteners (x2).
Step 13: Route harness as shown to avoid pinch by cargo panel.
Step 14: Attach Illuminated Cargo Sill to vehicle with (x4) mating clips by applying even pressure.
Step 15: Seal any pinched weather strip with trim tool or by hand.
Step 16: Reconnect vehicle battery. Replace all other cargo contents or accessories and reassemble the vehicle.

Step 9: Wrap connector with foam tape. Step 10: Reinsert the courtesy lamp into lamp cavity and attach the
male connector.
Step 11: Secure the harness to the back side of the LH cargo
panel using foam tape.
Step 12: Reattach LH cargo panel with (x2) attachment clips seated
properly. Reinsert upper and lower fasteners (x2).

Étape 3 : Retirez la lampe d’accueil située dans la cavité du
panneau du côté gauche de l’espace utilitaire. Retirez le
connecteur de la lampe d’accueil.
Étape 4 : À l’aide de l’outil pour garniture, détachez les attaches et
retirez le seuil d’espace utilitaire d’origine.

ÉTAPE 1 : Préparez‐vous à l’installation.
(a) Inspectez tous les composants de la trousse et vérifiez
si
des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes.
(b) Débranchez la borne négative de la batterie.
MISE EN GARDE : Ne touchez pas la borne
positive avec une partie quelconque de l’outil lors
du retrait du câble.
ÉTAPE 2 : Démontez le véhicule.
(a). Retirez le panneau de plancher de l’espace de chargement du
véhicule, ainsi que tout autre
contenu dans l’espace utilitaire ou tout autre accessoire qui
pourrait
s’y trouver (couvre‐caisse).

Étape 7 : À l’aide de l’outil de garniture, dégagez les
attaches fixant le panneau du côté gauche de l’espace
utilitaire pour révéler le connecteur d’alimentation de la
lampe d’accueil.
Étape 8 : Posez le seuil illuminé de l’espace utilitaire sur le plancher
de l’espace utilitaire. Branchez le connecteur femelle du faisceau à
l’alimentation du véhicule qui était initialement connectée à la
lampe.

Étape 5 : Découvrez et retirez la fixation située dans la
cavité de l’anneau en D du panneau du côté gauche de
l’espace utilitaire.
Étape 6 : Retirez la fixation située au‐dessus de la lampe d’accueil
du panneau du côté gauche de l’espace utilitaire. À l’aide de l’outil
pour garniture, retirez le couvercle pour accéder à la vis.

Étape 9 : Enroulez le connecteur avec du ruban mousse. Étape 10 : Réinsérez la lampe d’accueil dans sa cavité et branchez
le connecteur mâle.
Étape 11 : Fixez le faisceau à l’arrière du panneau du côté gauche
de l’espace utilitaire à l’aide de ruban mousse.
Étape 12 : Rattachez le panneau du côté gauche de l’espace
utilitaire à l’aide des (x2) attaches de fixation. Réinsérez les
fixations du haut et du bas (x2).

Étape 13 : Acheminez le faisceau comme illustré pour éviter
le pincement par le panneau de l’espace utilitaire.
Étape 14 : Fixez le seuil illuminé de l’espace utilitaire au véhicule à
l’aide des attaches (x4) en appliquant une pression uniforme.
Étape 15 : Scellez tout bourrelet d’étanchéité pincé à l’aide
de l’outil pour garniture ou à la main.
Étape 16 : Rebranchez la batterie du véhicule. Replacez tout autre
contenu ou accessoire de l’espace utilitaire et remontez le véhicule.
