INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DESCRIPTION: Forester Cargo Separator

If the center second row seat belt is installed, unlatch the seat belt and retract it to the ceiling mount.

Fold the second row of seats down to allow for easier cargo area access during installation.

Open the cover to the cargo hook assembly. Remove the bolt holding the assembly in using a 10mm socket and then remove the complete cargo hook assembly. Repeat on opposite side. Store both cargo hook assemblies in the hardware bag and then place bag in glove box for future use.

Install the lower left bracket on the driver’s side using a spacer, one of the smaller internal diameter washers, and a lower bolt using a 10mm socket. Push the bracket downwards until the lower flange of the bracket contacts the carpeting. Torque lower bolt to 8Nm ± 0.56Nm (70.8 in-lbf ± 5.0 in-lbf). Repeat on opposite side.

Remove the plastic cover and install the upper left bracket on the driver’s side interlocking the lower left bracket and install one of the larger internal diameter washer and an upper bolt into the upper mounting location shown using a 10mm socket. Torque upper bolt to 8Nm ± 0.56Nm (70.8 in-lbf ± 5.0 in-lbf). Repeat on opposite side.

Install the cargo separator mesh onto the studs of the brackets and install all four of the smaller internal diameter washers and flange nut and tighten to 8Nm ± 0.56Nm (70.8 in-lbf ± 5.0 in-lbf) Install four plastic caps onto the exposed studs.

Ouvrir le couvercle du crochet d’arrimage. Retirer le boulon
qui retient l’ensemble à l’aide d’une douille de 10 mm, puis
retirer l’ensemble complet des crochets d’arrimage. Faire de
même de l’autre côté. Ranger les deux ensembles de
crochets d’arrimage dans le sac de quincaillerie, puis placer
le sac dans la boîte à gants pour une utilisation ultérieure.
Installer le support inférieur gauche du côté conducteur à l’aide d’une
entretoise, d’une rondelle au diamètre interne le plus petit et d’un boulon
inférieur à l’aide d’une douille de 10 mm. Pousser le support vers le bas
jusqu’à ce que la bride inférieure du support entre en contact avec la
moquette. Serrer le boulon inférieur au couple de 8 Nm ± 0,56 Nm
(70,8 po-lbf ± 5,0 po-lbf). Faire de même de l’autre côté.
Si la ceinture de sécurité centrale de la deuxième rangée est
installée, détacher la ceinture de sécurité et la rétracter au
support de plafond.

Rabattre la deuxième rangée de sièges pour faciliter l’accès à l’espace
utilitaire pendant l’installation.
Retirer le couvercle en plastique et installer le support supérieur
gauche du côté conducteur en emboîtant le support inférieur gauche
et installer une des rondelles au diamètre interne plus grand et un
boulon supérieur à l’emplacement de montage supérieur illustré à
l’aide d’une douille de 10 mm. Serrer le boulon supérieur au couple
de 8 Nm ± 0,56 Nm (70,8 po-lbf ± 5,0 po-lbf). Faire de même de
l’autre côté.
Installer le grillage du séparateur d’espace utilitaire sur les goujons des
supports et installer les quatre petites rondelles au diamètre interne le
plus petit et l’écrou à embase puis serrer au couple de 8 Nm ± 0,56 Nm
(70,8 lbf ± 5,0 po-lbf). Placer quatre capuchons en plastique sur les
goujons exposés.
