INTRODUCTION
This bulletin announces a design change made to the rubber dust boot portion of the D-Pillar trim panel to eliminate a rubbing or squeaking sound condition which may occur when operating the PRG.
COUNTERMEASURE IN PRODUCTION
The new D-Pillar trim panel was incorporated into production starting with VIN F*231736.
PART INFORMATION
The part number for the new D-Pillar trim panel is: 94015AL07BVH.
The changes made to the dust boot portion are shown in the “before” and “after” illustrations below. NOTE: The dust boot is not available separately from the trim panel.
SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION
If you receive a customer complaint of a rubbing or squeaking sound and confirmed it is coming from the area of the dust boot on the D-pillar trim, replace the D-pillar trim with the latest part. Follow the procedure outlined in the applicable Service Manual for replacing the D-Pillar trim panel.
