(+-i ,3) SUBARU OWNERS MANUAL AC 110V POWER OUTLET Congratulations on your purchase of this AC11 OV Power Outlet specifically engineered for your Subaru vehicle. To maintain this product in good working condition, please review and fully understand this Owners Manual before using the product. Notes • Never use this product for any other purpose that is not defined in this manual. • If you have any uncertainty about this product, contact the dealer from which you have purchased this accessory. • Misuse or abuse of the inverter will void the warranty. Please refer to the section below for acceptable uses of this product. • Keep this manual in the vehicle for reference at all times. The following marks used in this manual have the meaning as defined below. WARNING! CAUTION! Inadequate use may result in death and/or serious injury. H7110-FJ000-E0 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WARNING! e Fuse may blow if multiple devices are connected simultaneously to this product. e Do not directly touch inverter with bare hand and/or foot. e Do not disassemble, move to other place, or use this product for any other purpose that is not defined in this manual. e Never use any medical equipment with this product. e Fix the wiring of devices that you use with this product in order to prevent them from interfering with the parking brake lever, shift lever, accelerator pedal and/or brake pedal. e Devices used while the vehicle is in motion must be placed in a safe location where they will not affect or distract the driver. • Drivers must be concentrated on driving. It is very dangerous if you watch TV, use a shaver or play karaoke during driving. e For any audio equipment, karaoke and/or electronic device which produces a sound, play such devices at a low volume, so that outside sound is audible inside the vehicle. e To avoid electrical shock, observe the following precautions: Do not plug/unplug this product with a wet hand. • Do not try to insert anything other than an outlet plug into the outlet. • If the outlet gets wet with water, drink or other liquid, do not try to plug/unplug any electrical device. e Fuse may blow if accessory 12V Outlet is used at the same time with this product. CAUTION! e Close the cover whenever it is not used. If any foreign matter or water gets into this product, it may result in malfunction or failure. • Be cautious not to wet the outlet slots with water, drink or any other liquid. If the slots get wet, immediately stop using this product and call your dealer. {Even if nothing takes place right after the slots get wet, it is possible that defect and/or failure occurs later.) e Do not try to use electrical equipment of which the total power consumption exceeds the specified capacity of this product. · · REFERENCE • Do not use this product when the engine is not running. Use this product only when the engine is running. It may cause the battery to quickly run out if you use this product for a long time or if you use it concurrently with other electric component such as headlights and air-conditioners when the engine is idling. . e This AC110V Power Outlet may tentatively reduce its output in order to protect the battery and/or the inverter. It is highly recommended that backups should be frequently made for computers and peripheral devices while they are in use with this product. We are not liable for any loss of data caused by the use of this product. e The alternator will not generate sufficient electricity while the engine is idling. The supply of electric power may be stopped in order to secure charging electricity for the battery if any electric component of large electricity consumption, including power windows, headlights, air-conditioners and windshield wipers, is used with this product. e The supply of electric power may be stopped if the inverter cannot fully radiate heat when the interior temperature is excessively high in summer or hot weather. In such a case, ventilate the cabin to lower the temperature and then use this product. e The supply of power will be stopped when the output exceeds 1 00W. To restore this product to an operable condition, turn off the power or disconnect the sockets of any electrical devices that are connected to this product. • Some electric devices may cause noise to radios and/or TV sets. PREPARATIONS FOR USE Start the engine and plug electric devices into the outlet. (This product can be used within the range of rated consumption power up to 100W.) This is a cover to safely protect the inverter. It should be kept closed whenever this product is not in use. CAUTION! (When in use) ~\ I\ (®) I [[Jl] Ill(®) =~ I Output 11 OV AC CAUTION! Do not insert anything other than listed electronic devices into this AC110V Power Outlet. Be cautious not to spill water, drink or other liquid over the outlet. This inverter converts battery voltage 12V to 120V + 10 % AC. Do not close the carpet opening or cover the inverter. Do not touch the inverter with bare hand or foot. DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS Before using this product: (1) Do not use this product when the engine is not running. (2) To protect the battery, use the air-conditioner and/or heater at “Low” level while this product is in use. (3) Do not use this product at engine idle speed. BEFORE CALLING YOUR DEALER If the AC110V Power Outlet does not operate correctly, check the following. LIST REMEDY Is the engine running? Start the engine. Is the cabin temperature high? Ventilate the cabin to lower the temperature. Is there any object near the inverter? Keep any object away from the inverter. Is the power consumption of device Use a device with the electric consumption in use over the capacity? of less than 1 OOW. Is the outlet and/or the inverter wet Turn off the switch and contact the dealer with water or other liquid? where this product was purchased. Is the fuse blown? Replace the fuse or contact your Subaru Dealer. If the problem is not resolved with this list, contact the dealer where this product was purchased.
