INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DESCRIPTION: Carbon Fiber Trunk Trim WRX
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Prior to Installation:
Before handling the part, make sure the installer’s hands are clean.
2. Installation Environment:
To ensure the best results during an installation you must set-up an installation area that is safe and clean.
The following items should be considered when selecting an area for installation:
(1) Installation should be performed in an ambient temperature range of 16-43 °C (60-110 °F)
(2) Keep installation area free of dust, grease, or other small particles that can become airborne, i.e. wax dust, paint overspray, etc.
3. Installation Steps:
Step 1
While the trunk is closed, use a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the trunk garnish and the surrounding areas.
Remove all contaminants such as dirt, dust or fingerprints. Use the alcohol wipes to prepare the final surface.
Step 2
For initial positioning, perform a dry fit(do not peel the liner off) of the part by centering it around the Subaru emblem. See Fig. B.
Ensure there is an equal gap on the left and right side of the trunk trim and reposition if necessary.
The Carbon fiber trunk trim will install on top of the vehicle trunk garnish.
Familiarize yourself with the Carbon Fiber Trunk Trim’s positioning. The following steps will begin actual installation
Step 3
Remove dry-fit part from vehicle and turn it around.
Without exposing the tape adhesive, fold the tape liner for each section of tape to allow for removal. For the upper strips of tape, fold and crease the tape liner so that it is removable from above. For the lower strips of tape, fold and crease the tape liners so that it is removable from below. See Fig C.
Step 4
Using the Subaru Emblem as visual indicator of center, tack the bottom edge of the part. Once the bottom is secured, start applying forward pressure while keeping the bottom edge in contact with the vehicle trim. Follow the tape removal sequence shown in the Fig D and lightly tack the pieces of tape as you remove each strip of liner. In the event of liner break, use the other end of the tape liner as a backup and pull in the opposite direction.
Step 5
Once all the 4 strips of liner are removed, using both hands, apply firm and even pressure (30 psi) across carbon fiber trunk trim for 12 seconds to ensure it adheres to the trunk garnish as shown in Fig. E.
Before opening the trunk, confirm there is an even gap between the part and the tail lights. Gently open and close trunk to confirm clearance.
Do not wash the vehicle for 24 hours following installation of the Carbon Fiber Trunk Trim.

Voir la figure B. Assurez-vous qu’il y a un écart égal du côté gauche et du côté droit de la garniture de coffre et repositionnez-la au besoin. La garniture du coffre en fibre de carbone doit être installée sur la garniture du coffre de la voiture. Familiarisez-vous avec le positionnement de la garniture du coffre en fibre de carbone. L’installation comme telle commencera avec les éléments suivants 2. Environnement d’installation : Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats lors d’une installation, vous devez configurer une zone d’installation sécuritaire et propre. Les éléments suivants doivent être pris en considération lors de la sélection d’une zone d’installation : PROCÉDURE D’INSTALLATION : 1. Avant l’installation : NUMÉRO DE PIÈCE : J121SVC000 NUMÉRO DE PIÈCE : J121SVC000 Avant de manipuler la pièce, assurez-vous que les mains de l’installateur sont propres. Étape 2 3. Étapes d’installation : Lorsque le coffre est fermé, utilisez un linge propre imbibé d’alcool dénaturé pour nettoyer soigneusement la garniture du coffre et les zones environnantes. Enlevez tous les autres contaminants, comme la saleté, la poussière ou les traces de doigts. Utilisez les lingettes imbibées d’alcool pour préparer la surface finale. Étape 1 (1) L’installation doit être effectuée dans une plage de température ambiante entre 16 et 43 °C (60 et 110 °F) (2) Maintenir la zone d’installation exempte de poussière, de graisse et de toute autre petite particule qui pourrait devenir aéroportée, comme de la poussière de cire, de la peinture pulvérisée, etc. Figure A Garniture du coffre du véhicule Emblème Subaru Pièce en fibre de carbone Figure B ~ SUBARU L’installation est terminée NUMÉRO DE PIÈCE : J121SVC000 NUMÉRO 03 2021-11-08 SUBARU OF AMERICA PAGE 3 de 3 Retirez la pièce ajustée à sec du véhicule et retournez-la. Sans exposer l’adhésif, pliez la bande de tirage de chaque section de l’adhésif pour permettre le retrait. Pour les bandes supérieures de l’adhésif, pliez la bande de tirage et repliez-la afin qu’elle puisse être retirée par le haut. Pour les bandes inférieures de l’adhésif, pliez les bandes de tirage et repliez-les afin qu’elle puisse être retirée par le bas. Voir la figure C. Étape 3 Étape 4 En utilisant l’emblème Subaru comme indicateur visuel du centre, fixez la bordure inférieure de la pièce. Une fois que le bas est bien fixé, appliquez une pression vers l’avant tout en gardant la bordure inférieure en contact avec la garniture du véhicule. Suivez la séquence de retrait de l’adhésif illustrée à la figure D et fixez légèrement les pièces d’adhésif tout en retirant chaque bande de tirage. En cas de rupture de la bande de tirage, utilisez l’autre extrémité de celle-ci comme substitut et tirez dans la direction opposée. Étape 5 Une fois que les quatre bandes de tirages sont retirées, appliquez une pression ferme et uniforme (30 psi) avec vos deux mains sur la garniture du coffre en fibre de carbone pendant 12 secondes pour s’assurer qu’il adhère à la garniture du coffre, comme illustré à la figure E. Avant d’ouvrir le coffre, assurez-vous qu’il y a un écart égal entre la pièce et les feux arrière. Ouvrez et fermez doucement le coffre pour confirmer le dégagement.
