INTRODUCTION:

This bulletin announces the procedure for rear license plate mounting. The 2022MY BRZ requires the rear license plate to be mounted to the rear bumper face. There are alignment marks located on the bumper that are to be used for mounting positioning. Use the procedure information outlined in this bulletin when installing the rear license plate.

SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION:

REMINDER: Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs.

STEP 1: Locate the inner alignment markings outlined with RED in the image above. The marks have a distance of 7 inches (177.8mm) between them.

STEP 2: Line up the license plate with the inner alignment markings. Using suitable self-tapping hardware, fasten the plate to the rear bumper. Use CAUTION during the process, do not overtighten the hardware. This could cause damage to the bumper.
