The new plugs are produced with a durability enhanced material and an increased bolt hex size from 14mm to 17mm. These changes were developed to reduce excessive oil drain plug wear after performing multiple maintenance services and on the engine oil drain plug, the risk of cross-threading. An example of the excessive wear is provided in the picture below. PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION: The production change information regarding the oil drain plug is TBD. PARTS INFORMATION: Part Description Part Number Plug-Oil Drain 32195AA021 REMINDER: Always order the most up-to-date replacement parts based on the specific VIN being repaired. The NEW engine oil drain plug (32195AA021) has an increased bolt head size of 17mm. The end of the plug has a redesigned pilot point shape to reduce the risk of cross-threading. 2. The OLD engine oil drain plug (32195AA020) has a 14mm bolt head size. The NEW engine oil drain plug (32195AA021) is the replacement part. 3. The CVT drain plug (807016160) has a 14mm bolt head size. It is replaced with the NEW drain plug (32195AA021). Although this is an applicable part change, the original part number (807016160) has yet to be superseded in the Electronic Part Catalog. NOTES: • Gasket 803916010 (ONE-TIME USE) is used on all three types of drain plugs. • The original drain plugs are painted black. Any replacement drain plugs ordered are unpainted (plated) as shown above. SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION: REMINDER: Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs.
