&Attach the tethers from stanchion to cover. Lower the end cap covers onto the crossbar and slide outward to engage the tangs. Rotate downwards to fully snap cover into position. Rotate the tool using the Allen wrench as a handle to push the back of the tool against the L and the “hook” against the cover tab until the tab pops loose. Using the supplied torque wrench, insert the red tab into the slot as shown.Slide tool in until it makes contact with the L on the casting Slide tool sideways to get the “hook” behind the cover’s tab. PART NUMBER:SOA843X026 ISSUE00 10/6/2022 SUBARU OF AMERICA PAGE 2 / 2 A. Using the supplied Torque Wrench, tighten the bolt until the washer loosely contacts the stanchion. Do not fully torque yet.B. Move to opposite side of the vehicle and visually align stanchion and bracket holes. Hold the stanchion in place and tighten the bolt using the Torque Wrench, tighten the bolt until the washer loosely contacts the stanchion.C. Using Torque Wrench, tighten both bolts to 12Nm. Repeat steps (A-C) on remaining crossbar.NOTE: Retorque the bolts after every 1500 miles of continuous use. Fixez les attaches de l’étai au cache. Abaisser les caches d’extrémité sur la traverse et faire glisser vers l’extérieur pour engager les languettes. Tourner le cache vers le bas pour l’enclencher complètement en position. Tournez l’outil en utilisant la clé Allen comme poignée pour pousser l’arrière de l’outil contre le L et le crochet contre la languette du cache jusqu’à ce que la languette se détache. À l’aide de la clé dynamométrique fournie, insérer la languette rouge dans la fente, comme illustré. Faites glisser l’outil sur le côté pour faire glisser le crochet derrière la languette du cache. À l’aide de la clé dynamométrique fournie, serrer le boulon jusqu’à ce que la rondelle entre légèrement en contact avec l’étai. Ne pas serrer complètement.B. Se déplacer de l’autre côté du véhicule et aligner visuellement l’étai et les trous des supports. Maintenir l’étai en place et serrer le boulon à l’aide de la clé dynamométrique, puis serrer le boulon jusqu’à ce que la rondelle entre légèrement en contact avec l’étai.C. À l’aide d’une clé dynamométrique, serrer les deux boulons au couple de 12 N.m. Répéter les étapes (A à C) avec la traverse restante.REMARQUE : resserrer les boulons tous les 1 500 milles (2 414 km) d’utilisation continue.
