STI Leather Shift Knob – CVT

Removal of the OE Shift Knob
1. Shift the select lever to ‘N’ range.
2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
3. Use plastic pry tool to disengage the shift boot cover. Use same procedure for vehicles with chrome cover. (See the image.)
4. Remove the existing clip by pulling forward. (See the image)
5. Remove OE shift knob from the shift lever by lifting upwards.
For vehicles with chrome cover, remove OE chrome cover.
Installation of the STI Shift Knob
6a. For vehicles without a shift boot, slide new chrome cover over the shift lever.
6b. Insert the STI CVT shift knob while holding your finger over the clip so that it doesn’t come out. Press down STI CVT shift knob until a `click’ is heard.
7a. For vehicles without a shift boot, pull chrome cover upwards to snap into STI shift knob’s base.
7b. For vehicles with a shift boot, pull shift boot cover upwards to snap into STI shift knob’s base. (See the image)
✓Make sure chrome cover or shift boot assembly is firmly in place.
8. Check the following:
✓The STI Shift Knob is securely installed.
✓The button on the grip works normally.
9. Connect the battery terminal, and select to ‘P’ range.

＊Confirm clip is engaged in the shift knob.
＊“Cover” is not used on cars with a shift boot.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Removal of the OE Shift Knob
1. Shift the select lever to ‘N’ range.
2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
3. Use plastic pry tool to disengage the shift boot cover. Use
same procedure for vehicles with chrome cover. (See the
image.)
4. Remove the existing clip by pulling forward. (See the image)
5. Remove OE shift knob from the shift lever by lifting upwards.
For vehicles with chrome cover, remove OE chrome cover.

the shift lever.
6b. Insert the STI CVT shift knob while holding your finger over the
