INTRODUCTION:
This bulletin announces availability of new heater control panels assemblies with revised operating
logic. Previously, when A/C cut-off control was activated (e.g. under full acceleration), the air
inlet mode would be switched from inside (recirculation) to “fresh” and allow outside (fresh) air to
enter the cabin. This is considered normal and intended operation, consistent with the design of the
system. However, in the interest of customer satisfaction, these new control panels retain the selected
air inlet mode regardless of a/c cut-off control status (off or on).
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
This bulletin will be updated with the starting VINs for these new control panels when they become
available.

repaired.

SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION:
REMINDER: Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs.
The service procedures for replacing the heater control assembly remain unchanged. Always refer to
the applicable Service Manual and review the full requirements of the repair being performed. The
Service Manual procedures contain information critical to performing an effective repair the first
time and every time. This includes but is not limited to: important SAFETY precautions, proper
inspection criteria, necessary special tools, required processes and related one-time-use parts needed
for a complete and lasting repair.
