: Remove/Disconnect : Install : Location of Clip or Screw
1) Read all instructions before proceeding with installation. If uncomfortable performing any procedures,
have installation performed by a Subaru dealer technician.
2) Take care not to damage vehicle components during removal and installation.
3) Route wiring so that it does not rub against any sharp edges.

Description: Fog Light Kit, Outback
Installation
Disconnect Negative (-) battery cable from the battery
sensor terminal. Hold the battery sensor carefully when
removing the 10mm nut.

Remove four (4) clips and retain for reinstallation

Pull down belly pan to reveal remaining bolt holding
fender liner in place.
Remove bolt and pull down the fender liner. Retain bolt
for reinstallation. Free fog lamp harness connector from
the breakaway tape.

From inside, locate and remove philips head screw
securing fog light cover. Retain screw for reinstallation

Install Fog Lamp Cover. Reinstall fog light cover screw,
fender liner cover bolt and four (4) clips.
Repeat install for remaining side of vehicle.

Install J-Nut into bumper cavity at the pre-arranged
location. Make sure the threaded side is pointing toward
the outside (front). Insert lamp assembly into bumper
cavity from behind the bumper. Install clip and bolt.
Torque bolt to 7.5Nm (5.5 ft lbs)
Plug in lamp connector, ensure the tab locks into place

Using a trim tool, remove the side cover of the lower dash
console
Remove philips head screw securing switch panel
Pull lower dash console rearward to disengage all clips
Disconnect all connections from switch panel
Release pre-wired connector

Installation

Install fog lamp switch. Ensure both tabs lock into place.
Plug in all connections to switch panel
Reinstall lower dash console

Open hood and access passenger side relay panel
Install fog lamp relay into above noted position

Connect Negative (-) battery cable to the battery sensor
terminal.
Torque to 7.5Nm (5.5 ft lbs)
Using a flat bladed screw driver, release the top and
bottom tabs of the right most switch blank.

Débranchez la borne négative de la batterie à l’aide d’une
clé à douille de 10 mm.

Retirez quatre (4) clips et conservez-les pour
réinstallation.

Tirez sur le plat ventre pour révéler le boulon restant qui
maintient la doublure d’aile en place.
Retirez le boulon et abaissez la doublure de l’aile.
Conservez le boulon pour la réinstallation. Libérez le
connecteur de harnais de phare antibrouillard de la bande
détachée.

De l’intérieur, localisez et retirez la vis à tête cruciforme
fixant le cache des feux de brouillard. Conserver la vis
pour la réinstallation
Enlevez le cache de l’antibrouillard.

Installez le cache de lampe de brouillard. Installez la vis
de cache de phare antibrouillard, le boulon de cache de
doublure d’aile et quatre (4) clips.
Répétez l’installation pour le côté restant du véhicule.

Installez l’écrou en J dans la cavité du pare-chocs à
l’emplacement pré-arrangé. Assurez-vous que le côté
fileté est dirigé vers l’extérieur (avant). Insérez la lampe
dans la cavité du pare-chocs de l’arrière du pare-chocs.
Installez le clip et le boulon. Couple de serrage jusqu’à 7,5
Nm
Branchez le connecteur de la lampe, assurez-vous que la
languette se verrouille en place

Boulon
À l’aide d’un outil de rognage, retirez le capot latéral de la
console inférieure du tableau de bord.
Enlevez le panneau d’interrupteur de fixation de vis à tête
philips
Tirez la console inférieure du tableau de bord vers
l’arrière pour dégager tous les clips.
Débranchez toutes les connexions du panneau de
commande
Libérer le connecteur pré-câblé

Installez le commutateur de feux de brouillard. Assurezvous
que les deux onglets sont bien en place.
Branchez toutes les connexions au panneau de
commutation
Installer la console inférieure du tableau de bord

Installer le relais de phare antibrouillard dans la position
indiquée ci-dessus

Connectez le câble négatif (-) de la batterie à la borne du
capteur de batterie.
Couple à 7,5 Nm (5,5 pi lb)
À l’aide d’un tournevis à lame plate, libérez les languettes
supérieure et inférieure du cache du commutateur le plus
