INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this bulletin is to clarify the proper installation direction of the valve springs used on the FA engine. The springs have a light blue paint mark identifier as shown in the chart below.
Important Installation Notes:
- When installing the new type valve spring, the end with the paint mark must always face upward and be against the valve spring retainer.
- Whenever a failed valve spring is identified, all sixteen(16) springs must be replaced AS A SET.
