SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION:

REMINDER:  Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs.

Always refer to the applicable Service Manual and review the full requirements of the repair being performed.  The Service Manual procedures contain information critical to performing an effective repair the first time and every time.  This includes but is not limited to: important SAFETY precautions, proper inspection criteria, necessary special tools, required processes and related  one-time-use parts needed for a complete and lasting repair.

IMPORTANT:

  • Whenever removing the clip from the mounting bracket, ALWAYS use a clip removal too as shown in the illustrations below to avoid damaging it.
  • When installing the clip, it must be inserted into the bracket firmly with no more than 3MM clearance between the bracket and the underside of the clip.

NOTE:  If the clip is replaced, put a reference mark on the harness  before removing the original so the new clip can be positioned properly.  After tightening the band of the new clip around the harness, trim off any excess (5mm max.) band remaining.
