In January 2021 the replacement battery application for all Ascent and 2017- 2021 Impreza models were changed from part number SOA821B200 to part number SOA821B600.
Due to the anomalous sales demand for the SOA821B600 battery against the forecasted demand, we are experiencing a temporary supply shortage. To ease the shortage, we are temporarily suspending this application change and reverting back to the SOA821B200 battery for the Ascent and 2017-2021 Impreza models.
For Forester and Crosstrek vehicles that are off the road and require a replacement SOA821B600 battery, retailers will need to call the SOA PIC line (1-866-782-2782- prompt #1) with the VIN. The PICs will review the vehicle information and will only release VOR orders. Battery stock orders will be held until ample inventory is available.
Orders for the SOA821B200 battery can be placed on your regular stock order.
SOA Fixed Operations is closely monitoring this issue and will make adjustments as needed.
