This manual describes how to install and handle the Center Console Trim Panels.
Please make sure to read this manual before installation for the correct installation.
Please hand this manual to the customer after the installation.
Precautions
1. For your safety, stop the vehicle on a flat place, turn off the engine switch and ensure that the parking brake is applied before starting the installation process.
2. Since connector to be detached and attached, make sure to disconnect the power cord of battery (-) negative side before handling electrical components such as the connector. Follow the instructions in the latest service manual for removing and installing the cord of (-) negative side.
3. When installing, be careful not to damage the vehicle and the Center Console Trim Panels parts with tools.
4. Follow the items described using Caution mark in the “Installation procedure” on the following pages for installation.
Tools to be used
- Handy remover
- Phillips screwdriver
- Socket Wrench (M10)
Installation procedure
Caution:
Remove the ground terminal from the battery before handling electrical components.
Refer to the service manual for how to remove the battery terminal.
Reference:
Set the shift lever to “N” position before removing the negative terminal of the battery.
Please move the seat to the front most position before removing the negative terminal of the battery.
1. Remove Cover ASSY Front.
（1）Remove Shift Lever.
（2）Remove Tray ASSY Center Lower. （FIG.2）
（3）Remove Handbrake Boots while the Handbrake is being pulled.
（4）Open Console Lid, and pull up Cover ASSY Front, then disengage the clip.
（5）Disconnect each connector and remove Cover ASSY Front.（FIG.3）
Caution
When removing parts, be careful not to damage the joints.
2. Remove Console Box ASSY from Vehicle.
（1）Remove the screw fixing Console Box and Center Console.（FIG.4）
（2）Remove the cap on the Console Box ASSY Side and remove the bolt.（FIG.5）
（3）Disconnect each connector, and pull up Console Box, then disengage the clip.
Caution
: When removing parts, be careful not to damage the joints.
: Keep the removed screws and bolts in a safe place as they will be used when assembling.
3. Remove Cover ASSY Center Side from Instrument Panel.
（1）Remove Vehicle body fixing screw behind Shift Lever.（FIG.6）
（2）Remove Claw engagement in the square part in the illustration, and separate RH and LH on the Cover ASSY Center Side.
（3）Pull each RH and LH on the Cover ASSY Center Side backward, and detach engagement between the Clip and Resin Claw, then separate it from Instrument Panel.（FIG.7）
Caution
: When removing parts, be careful not to damage the joints.
: Keep the removed screws and bolts in a safe place as they will be used when assembling.
4. Remove screw（1place）and clip engagements（3 places）, pull up diagonally upward, and remove Center Console Trim Panels from Cover ASSY Center Side.（FIG.8）

The illustration shows RH. Remove the part of LH in the same way.
5. Install the packaged ①Center Console Trim Panels LH and ②Center Console Trim Panels in the reverse order of removal from Cover ASSY Center Side.
6. Install Cover ASSY Center side in the reverse order of removal from the Instrument Panel.
7. Install the Console Box ASSY in the reverse order of removal from the vehicle.
8. Cover ASSY Front, Handbrake Boots, Tray ASSY Center Lower and Shift Lever shall be restored in the reverse order of removal. Then the installation to be completed.
