INTRODUCTION
This Service Information bulletin provides guidance on determining if warranty coverage applies for failed MicroSD memory cards utilized in FujitsuTen (F10) Audio / Navigation (AVN) units. The photos below all show physically damaged cards which have been collected from the field.
PART INFORMATION
The following part numbers of the Micro SD Cards currently on automatic collection are:
86283AL66A 86283AL66B 86283FJ630
Additional Information:
- Physical damage as shown in the photos above is a result of outside influence (e.g. improper installation, inserting the card into the unit at an angle, using excessive force, etc.) and NOT a manufacturing defect of the part. For this reason, MicroSD cards with verified physical damage are not a matter for warranty. Be advised, claims submitted for MicroSD cards with physical damage are subject to rejection or debit.
- Claims for MicroSD cards which do not operate as designed, have not been altered and do not have physical damage will be processed for payment using normal reimbursement procedures.
