SUBJECT:	Change to Front Strut Mounting Nuts

 

INTRODUCTION

This Service Information bulletin announces a change to the flanged mounting nuts securing the front strut assemblies to the vehicle body. The change was made to enhance assembly line efficiency.

 

PART INFORMATION:

The Old Style flange nuts with 3 “locking portions” have been replaced by the New Style “smooth” nuts..

 

NOTE:  The nuts are interchangeable between new and old but it is recommended to use all of one style or the other to maintain uniformity.  The torque specification is unchanged (14.8 ft. lbs.).
